Qwiz Kids Tutorial and Study Center

Qwiz Kid Tutorial and Study Center started in 2014 under the wing of Mr. Manuel Sherwin D. Quimbo, armed with a business degree from San Beda College. Before putting up the Tutorial Center, Mr. Quimbo worked with different companies until one of his colleagues gave him the idea of having his own business. The thought of wanting to have a business was in his mind even when he was still in College. An early retirement from the previous company he worked with pushed him to take the opportunity and start with the Tutorial Center in which his colleague assisted him with everything that he needed to know. It was time the perfect time to be the boss of his own business!

Starting with an average of 4 students in 2014, Qwiz Kids Tutorial and Study Center has now 10 students. Currently there are 6 teachers (some are Part-time teachers and students from the University of the Philippines). They offer tutorial in all subjects. However, Math is the most common subject that students need help with. Each session can last from 1- 2 hours. While other Tutorial Centers teach in group, Qwiz Kids Tutorial and Study Center prefers to have a one-on-one tutoring, believing that students can focus more on studying their lessons.

Gone are the days when children would seem to have more time to play than spend time studying their lessons, most especially when both parents are working for their family. Not that the parents do not care that much, but not everyone would have thought of hiring a tutor to help their children in their absence.Some parents would just rely completely on their children to study on their own and pass all their subjects. Some may have succeeded but others have not. And that is the realization of working parents nowadays-- to be able to have an ally in helping their children with their studies and create a habit of having a study time after school.

For the past several years, tutorial centers mushroomed in every city. Parents are now more conscious in making their children leap a step higher in terms of their education. But we should also keep in mind that parents still play a major role in achieving their children’s success apart from giving them the best education--- and that is being supportive in any dream that their children may have.

Traditional tutoring may just focus on the present lessons in school by helping to understand and aid in answering homework and making school projects. But more than that is building a solid core on each individual to make them want to achieve more in life. The values which schools teach its students are now being extended by tutorial centers which allow more growth for children.

Quality education should not be expensive. Qwiz Kids Tutorial and Study Center aims to produce scholarly students who can be great models of our youth and who would then be great leaders in the future without having to spend so much. By nurturing their curiosity with the different aspects of life, Qwiz Kids Tutorial and Study Center intends to help your children catch up on their reading and comprehension skills, develop an inquisitive mind that hungers for more knowledge and to gain a positive attitude towards school work. Now parents need not worry. They now have the center to help their children improve their skills and be able to go beyond what is expected from them in their respective schools.

The Tutorial center is able to make appropriate provisions for children who are behind based on the assessment of their needs and knowledge of evidence-based practice in literacy struggles and challenges. A monthly progress report for each student is submitted for evaluation. Qwiz Kids Tutorial and Study Center have effectively helped numerous students to gain progress in their studies and always enhance their grades in their subjects selected. A large portion of whom have even risen as top achievers in their individual schools.

With passionate and highly trained educators, tutors are not merely teachers but as well as mentors, who can truly guide each individual in achieving their dreams by helping the students identify their strengths and weaknesses for optimal performance in their schools. Reinforcing their academic abilities and effectively filling in the gaps demand full commitment in order to help mould the young minds to make progress in their academic abilities.

To be able to produce positive results, apart from the quality of service that the center provides is assuring an environment conducive for learning thus helping to inspire each student to focus on lessons and be encouraged to grasp more knowledge. Learning is more fun at Qwiz Kids Tutorial and StudyCenter because the center is more focused in making sure that the lessons become more interesting and easier to understand than merely treating them as lessons to be memorized.

One of their goals is to establish other branches to cater to more students in different places. Currently, they are working out in offering review classes for College Entrance Examinations. Who knows? Maybe in a few years, a pre-school, too! Other programs are yet to materialize as they are carefully being studied.

Running up the business is not merely focusing on its financial gain but being able to become an instrument in helping children become better is a fulfilling dream. And just what Plato have said, "The direction in which education starts a man will determine his future in life."

Qwiz Kids Tutorial and Study Center is still accepting new students for SY 2016-2017 as well as Full-time and Part-time Teachers. A referral fee of 20% is being offered to those who can encourage other students to enroll with the said Tutorial Center.
